Considering the complaints some of my posts have contained, I figured I should post on a good day!
I’ll preface with a bit of a downer. My grade 5 class is generally out of control. Noisy. They fight. They beat each other. Many of them are quite a bit behind in English. And getting through class with them can be a struggle.
But not today!! They were so attentive and participated and it was wonderful! Both grades 5 and 6 today were perfect! I played a quiz game with them, the winning team got sweets, and they loved it! The noise level wasn’t out of control, and they were so eager to answer questions.
Way to go guys! Let’s act the same in tomorrow’s classes!

p.s. Have you ever heard of or seen Northern Exposure? It's a TV show from the 90's about a medical school graduate from New York. He moves to Alaska b/c that was a term or condition of his med school scholarship, and while there his housing is always falling apart, etc. (He's in a remote area!!) You might enjoy it, though I think you're more 'remote' than him!
